ARRESTED? Do not make a
statement. Any statement you make will likely be used against you. You have
an absolute right not to talk about the events in question. Instead arrange
to have a lawyer present at your bail hearing with a person who can act as
your surety in the event the Crown decides to oppose your bail. If you have
been arrested for a minor theft and it is your first offence , call me I can
likely have the charge withdrawn without a criminal record.
